A letter from the woman who created the Sculpt Brief™
Before you buy
"Is the Sculpt Brief a scam?" I created it. Here is my honest answer.
EmmaFounder, SayBeam · 7 min read
After every order, we ask our customers one question: what almost stopped you? Almost 9,000 women have answered it. Two out of three wrote the same thing about the Sculpt Brief, almost word for word: "Will it work? Is this a scam?" So this page answers it, all of it, in one place.
Part I
There is a scam. It just isn't us.
When the Sculpt Brief took off, copies started showing up. Same black brief. Our own photos, lifted straight from our shoots and our customers. Some even sell it under our name, "Sculpt Brief", for a few dollars less on other websites and marketplaces.
The Sculpt Brief™ name is ours: we filed it as a trademark with the USPTO. There is one original, and it is made by SayBeam.
This fall alone, we had more than ten copycat sites taken down. More keep coming.
The original has a name you can look up. A copy has our photos and nothing behind them.
On a screen, a copy looks exactly like ours. On your body, it is a different garment. One thin panel instead of our crossed band. A waistband that sits low and rolls by lunchtime. And when it fails, the woman who bought it decides that nothing works on her body. She isn't wrong about what she wore. She just never had the real one on.
If you read a one-star review about a $12 copy and decided the Sculpt Brief was a scam, you judged us on a garment we never made. Give me seven minutes and I'll show you the difference.
Why your belly didn't move, no matter what you tried
Whatever you call it, you know it. The shelf that sits above your c-section scar. The pooch that makes strangers ask if you're expecting, years after your last baby. The gap that pregnancy left in the middle. The belly that showed up with menopause and never left.
Different names, same story underneath. The wall at the front of your stomach was stretched, or cut, and it never fully came back together. That's why it's flatter in the morning and rounder by evening. That's why you can lose the weight and still not close your jeans. Women tell us the same thing over and over: "I've tried everything.""Nothing has worked so far."
A diet can't pull a wall back together. A regular shapewear brief can't either: it squeezes one spot, and the volume just moves over its edge.
The Sculpt Brief was built for exactly that wall. It sits high, well above your navel, so it covers the whole front of your stomach instead of cutting across it. And its patented crossed band wraps you from both sides at once, drawing the two halves of the wall back together, front, sides and back.
1
The second you pull it on. Flat, smooth, held. Your jeans close the same morning.
2
After one week. You see the difference in the mirror, from the side too.
3
After three weeks. The shape underneath has changed, and that's what stays when you take it off.
Buy it on saybeam.com. We have no resellers, so a "Sculpt Brief" sold anywhere else is a copy.
Look for the crossed X on the front. That's the patented band no copy has reproduced.
Look us up on Trustpilot yourself: rated 4.5, with hundreds of reviews from women.
SayBeam is an American brand, with real people answering every email.
Over 50,000 women wear it today.
My guarantee
Wear it for 90 days. Under jeans, under work clothes, under the dress you've been avoiding. Wash it, wear it again. If your belly is exactly where it was, send it back and you get your money back. You carry none of the risk. I carry all of it.
P.S. You came here to find out if the Sculpt Brief was a scam, and you read all the way down. Part of you already knows the answer. The only question left is whether, a year from now, you're still choosing your clothes around your stomach. The button is right there, and the risk is mine.

Honestly how do I know this isn't a scam? I see these ads everywhere and half of them use the same picture 🙄

Tina half of those ARE copies, they steal SayBeam's photos. I ordered from a cheap one first and got a thin piece of fabric that rolled down in an hour. Ordered the real one from saybeam.com and it's not even the same thing. Look for the crossed X on the front.

Two c-sections, the last one 23 years ago. I still have the shelf hanging over my scar. Too late for me?

Denise my last c-section was 19 years ago, same shelf, same scar. I almost didn't order because I figured it was way too late. It sits high so it doesn't touch the scar at all, and the shelf is flat under my jeans now.

My youngest is 4 and people STILL ask me when I'm due. I lost all the baby weight, the belly just stayed 😩

Brittany this was me word for word. Weight gone, belly still there. I wear it under everything now, jeans included, and nobody has asked me that since.

I'm 64 and post menopausal. Not expecting miracles but any improvement would be wonderful.

Carol I'm 62, menopause belly that showed up out of nowhere. Same weight as ten years ago, different shape. My daughter noticed the difference before I said anything.

Isn't this just shapewear though? I have a whole drawer of stuff that rolled down by lunch.

Jess I have that drawer too lol. Difference is the crossed band, it wraps around instead of squishing just the front, and it goes way above the belly button so there's no edge to roll. Wore it a full shift on my feet, didn't move.

Does it only work while you wear it? What happens when you take it off?

Kelly flat as soon as it's on. I saw a difference in the mirror after about a week, and around week 3 I noticed it looked better even with it off. I still wear it every day because I like how my clothes fit.

Will it give me a wedgie? Everything I buy digs in and I end up pulling it off by noon.

Renee no wedgie and nothing digging, it's soft, like regular underwear. Only tip: measure above your navel and size up if you're between sizes. I did and it's perfect.
